BC 55+ Games | BC 55+ Games - held at different locations throughout BC for senior (55+) competitors, the Archery events usually consist of the Canadian 900 Round, A Field Round and a Flat Field 3D round, the rounds vary from year to year to suit the area and hosts. |

All 3 events are run concurrently, with the base timing around the 720,
The 900 Rounds have a quick 'facility' break after 5 ends, the 720s
after 6, then the 900 carries on with the final distance, while the 720s
break between rounds. At approx 1PM the second 720 begins. The T2S 900 aligns with Archery Canada's Long Term Archery Development Plan, the T2S fits in the 'Train To Shoot' level and is a 900 at shorter distacnes for the Victoria Bowmen it it 35/30/25 Metres. Double 18M Round | The international round shot on a 40cm 10 ring target face for recurves and the 3 spot 5 ring (5 - 10) target face for compounds shot twice usually 1 per day. |
Flat Field 3D | A 3D round shot on an open field without any difference in terrain or lighting. |
Flat Field Indoor 3D | 3 D animal targets varying in number by tournament shot indoors at unknown distances. Awards by age and equipment categories. |

Indoor World Championships |
18M Indoor Round shot for qualifiction, then elimination round for all
medals. World Champions in Men/Women/Compound/Recurve/Team and Mixed Teams are crowned |
Indoor World Cups |
18M Round shot for qualification and then elimination rounds for finals. There are 3 Indoor World cups, where archers can qualify for the final World Cup (Usually the Vegas Shoot in late Jan/Early Feb) |
Olympic Games/World Championships/World Cups | The Olympic Games Archery, World Championships and World Cups are tournaments held in various locations around the world by World Archery.A 720 Round is shot for ranking followed by elimination rounds for men/women compound/recurve team and mixed team.More information: http://worldarchery.org/events  |
The Vegas Shoot |
The Vegas Shoot consists of 2 days of qualifying (Friday and Saturday),
the cumulative score is then ranked by category and archers shoot in
flights against those who scored near them. A flight consists of 20
archers and the first 4 positions are normally paid prize money. There is also a trade show that runs the entire weekend. There are paid practice facilities and offical practice is the Thursday afternoon/evening. Saturday evening is the World Cup Finals, sponsored by World Archery. Sunday afternoon is the shootoff for the Professional Divsions |
Turkey Shoots | A novelty event where the prize is usually a Turkey (hence the name). Targets and exact rounds vary by event |
US Outdoor Nationals | #OutdoorNationals is actually three events, held at the same time and in the same location. The U.S. National Target Championships and U.S. Open are held for adult (senior and masters) archers, while youth archers compete in the Easton Junior Olympic Archery Development (JOAD) Nationals. Qualification is a Double 720 Round, distances vary by category and equipment shot. |
